I've been using this substrate for my crested gecko's bioactive terrarium and it holds humidity like a champ—much better than the coconut fiber I tried before. The fine texture is perfect for her to dig around without getting stuck. Definitely worth the price for a ten-quart bag.

My ball python dug her first burrow within an hour of me putting this in her enclosure—the mix of soil and sand holds tunnels perfectly without collapsing. It also stays nicely damp for humidity without getting muddy, which is exactly what I needed for a tropical setup.
